Samsung will host Samsung Developer Conference 2023 (SDC23) at the renowned Moscone Center in San Francisco on October 5.

The announcement marks the ninth SDC, a series of conferences that have been a cornerstone of innovation in the tech industry since its inaugural event in 2013.

Unlike the previous year, where attendance was limited to exclusively invited participants, this year’s conference opens its doors to all tech enthusiasts, developers, and individuals eager to delve into Samsung’s latest advancements.

Samsung will cast a spotlight on its platform innovations, showcasing its advancements to SmartThings, Bixby, Knox, and Tizen. This thematic focus serves to underline the seamless integration of Samsung’s diverse business segments and devices, culminating in enhanced customer experiences.

Furthermore, the company plans to share its collaborative initiatives and strategies for open innovation with developers and partners. This collaboration aims to lay the foundation for creating the next generation of interconnected experiences.

The curtain will rise on SDC23 with an inaugural keynote by JH Han, Vice Chairman, CEO, and Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung. This opening address will outline the company’s grand vision, centered around technological innovation and the continual expansion of customer experiences.

Han will be joined on stage by a lineup of other Samsung executives who will unveil the company’s future strategic plans. The roster of speakers includes:

  • Jaeyeon Jung – Executive Vice President of the SmartThings Team
  • Hobum Kwon – Vice President of the Platform Team, Samsung Research
  • Bongjun Ko – Executive Vice President of the Application S/W R&D Group, Visual Display Business
  • Sally Hyesoon Jung – Vice President of the Framework R&D Group, Mobile eXperience Business
  • Hon Pak – Vice President of the Digital Health Team, Mobile eXperience Business, among others

Beyond the keynote, SDC23 will also feature an array of interactive breakout sessions. These sessions offer attendees invaluable opportunities to collaborate and delve deeper into Samsung’s latest developer-focused platforms and tools, which include One UI 6, SmartThings, Matter, Bixby, Tizen, and Samsung Health, among others.

Participants keen on dynamic discussions can join sessions held in the “Open Theater,” where impromptu discussions on various topics are encouraged.

Meanwhile, those with coding prowess – or those keen on learning the art of coding – can participate in the “Code Lab.” This interactive session offers a hands-on coding experience, with participants receiving guidance and mentorship from Samsung developers across diverse subjects.

The keynote address and major sessions of the conference will be accessible via livestream on Samsung’s official YouTube channel and the Samsung Developer website during the event.

To physically attend SDC23, interested parties are encouraged to visit the official conference website.
